Our ground floor apartment has been completely refurnished and decorated to the highest standard.The quality of the decor, soft furnishings and furniture is superb with double glazing and gas central heating throughout.
Ideal accomodation for a couple or for two persons sharing.

Berwick-Upon-Tweed Elizabethan Walls are a short stroll from our self catering holiday cottage.
Spittal Beach Sunrise. A 20 minute walk will take you to the beach from the front door of our self catering holiday accomodation.


Our cottage features combined Lounge / Dining room, with smart TV and Blu-Ray / DVD player.

Gas heating and electric is inclusive.  All bed linen and towels are provided

Great apartment with everything you need and very spacious. Close to all amenities with a lovely restaurant 5 mins walk. Best of all a beautiful garden to sit and relax in with a glass of wine.

This was the best self catering property we have stayed in and we have stayed in a lot! It was extremely well equipped and very clean! John has thought of everything! Heating is very efficient and keeps the property warm and cosy. Stunning garden which we couldn't enjoy to the full due to time of year, but enjoyed watching the birds feed through the window! The property is so central , walking distance from all the shops, pubs and the river and beach etc. Parking is very easy, right outside the property. John, the owner is very helpful but not intrusive. Thoroughly recommend this property.

Oil Mill Lane Cottage provides a top class, wonderful home from home holiday experience where you can retreat to an oasis of calm near Berwick’s historic old walls and Pier Road with its beautiful views out to the Tweed Estuary beaches. You are also within two minutes walking distance of Berwick’s main thoroughfares with easy access to the array of cafes, restaurants and bars that the town has to offer. Location could not be better and it’s also an easy walk from the rail station if you aren’t driving.

The cottage itself is spotlessly clean, bright, cosy and extremely spacious. The living room looks out onto the beautiful walled garden which offers two sitting areas which guests can use. We sat out here often during our stay as it’s quite the sun trap.

John has thought of everything that you could possibly need on a self catering break. The kitchen is large and fully equipped with all the things that you would have in your own kitchen (and more- there is even a pestle and mortar!) John himself is the consummate host, friendly, welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. He’s also very knowledgeable about the local area. I can’t wait to come back!
